Feather Fluorite is a natural calcium fluoride mineral featuring delicate, plume-like internal patterns and bands of purple, green, white, or clear.
Key Characteristics
• What it is: A variety of fluorite containing feathery, dendritic internal inclusions made of scolecite (a type of zeolite mineral).
• Colors: Typically displays combinations of purple, mint or seafoam green, white, and translucent banding.
• Hardness: Measures 4 on the Mohs scale, making it a softer stone that can scratch or chip easily if mishandled.
• Common Forms: Polished points, towers, spheres, carved feathers, and jewelry pendants.
• Light Interaction: Translucent and cubic formations reveal hidden layers, rainbows, or glowing depth when placed on an LED light base.
This is what Megan from IL had to say about our gemstone spheres: Beautiful quality on both of the pieces I ordered!! Definitely will purchase from this seller again.

While completely safe to display on a shelf or wear as finished pieces, many raw mineral specimens naturally contain toxic elements, heavy metals, or glass-like structures (such as copper, arsenic, lead, or silica). To ensure your safety, please follow these responsible ownership and lapidary protocols:
• Basic Handling: Always wash your hands immediately after touching raw minerals and never ingest minerals.
• Lapidary Safety: When cutting or drilling, always use specialized safety equipment, including wet-cutting machinery, proper ventilation, and appropriate respirators or masks to avoid inhaling toxic dust or fumes.
